I had a breast lift with augmentation in 1/31/23. I requested 365 cc implants & possible bigger implant on the right breast as it’s smaller. My surgeon decided for me & put in 240 cc implants on both sides. Needless to say I am unhappy with size & symmetry. What are my options? I feel that my surgeon didn’t respect my wishes for an elective surgery that is expensive & time consuming.
Best is to talk with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who did the surgery. There could be documentation in your chart that you have requested a certain size implant (365 cc) or bigger. You also can request a copy of all the medical records and review what has transpired during the consultation and why the surgeon has elected to use a 240 cc implant.
Hello
The solution will be to change those implants for the desired ones and plan a su metrical procedure
It is possible to undergo a breast revision with the use of larger and possibly asymmetric implants to help with your asymmetry. Please visit with a board-certified plastic surgeon as revision breast surgery is complex. Good luck!
In general the implant size is decided on prior to the surgery. I really do not understand why there was a change? The size difference is significant. You should have a discussion with your surgeon and ask why the size was changed. If you are not happy then the surgeon should correct your concern.
You can ask the surgeon what was the problem and go from there. If it was my fault I would replace them after all is healed. Sometimes a large implant will just not look good and cause problems
