Hello! I am searching for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that is familiar AND practiced in successfully performing DIEP reconstruction breast surgery.
I current have 1000ML texturized saline implants due to bilateral mastectomy. Can someone please help me find the correct surgeon for my needs? Thank you!
You can log on to the web site of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, ASPS.org. Part of it is open to the public, and if you enter the procedure you are interested in, you should be able to bring up a list of surgeons.
Thank you for sharing your question. I would use the "find a surgeon" tool on this website to help find surgeons close to your area. You may have to travel but a DIEP is an excellent operation for good candidates. I would recommend Dr. Brian Reuben in Salt Lake. Best wishes

It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure.
