In my career, I have operated upon breast reductions in patients 15 years old, but my personal opinion is that it would be more indicated in girls al least 17, or 18 years of age, when they are fully grown both physically and emotionally. I have treated ¨virginal¨ or ill-called ¨malignant¨ breast hypertrophy, but slightly over 15 years of age. The clue here is that the volume of the breast is increasing continuously.

This would ideally take place after the breasts have finished maturing but it is possible to do before this.
