Incision glued puckered - will it flatten, options if not

I had a lipoma removed from my upper abdomen, and the surgeon glued the incision together very visibly puckered. Will this flatten as it heals? Or is this a poorly done closure? If so, any advice on how to minimize the puckering and flatten it would be appreciated. Thank you!

That is a perfectly normal closure. Plastic surgeons create this pucker as all scars flatten as they mature. If they scars starts out flat, it may end up depressed.

Most likely will heal just fine with some time. I see nothing abnormal

Yes, this will flatten on its own and will likely heal well without any issues. Do not pick at the glue or incision and just let it heal. After the glue falls off, you can begin applying silicone. Good luck!

When were you operated. I don't think there is anything abnormal. You are likely to have a good scar. In the meantime you can massage if it is already 3 weeks post operation. Some recommend silicone gel sheet application. But in my opinion, moisturizer and TIME are the only thing that really help.

Your wound is well healing and it will flatten by the time but if hypertrophic scar or keloid formation you can treat by laser and scar lysis injection in the future.
