Prices are usually given after in person consultation and determining if you are a good candidate for the procedure. I can offer a price range; $9000-$14000.

Good morning. The final price can't be estimated without a previous consultation. Are you a good candidate for that procedure? Outpatient or staying at the hospital overnight? How many sessions would you need? I always say to my patients that the final price is the less important thing when you choose a surgeon or a surgical procedure.

Best regards.

The fee for fat grafting to the breast will depend upon the extent of the surgery required. This will vary for patients that want a breast augmentation versus a patient that needs fat after breast reconstruction. It is best to come in for a consultation to be properly evaluated. My preference for primary breast augmentation is to use breast implants which will guarantee a very specific volume as opposed to fat grafting which does not take 100%

Generally fat transfer to the breast will cost about 8000-10000. I would call around to surgeons in your area. This will depend on several factors but generally that will be the range. Best of luck! Dr. Boschert

Just as important as pricing is how the procedure is done.

Not all fat grafting techniques are the same or as effective.

There is great experimental evidence that very small graft particles have better survival rate and less complications.

Ricardo Rodriguez is the best guy in Maryland for fat grafting, hands down. And he said it best. BBL and fat grafting "factories", the ones you see on IG and Snapchat promise beautiful on-table and early results. But longevity is key. We've all seen what long term results can look like (think of Kim K's buttocks on that tabloid pic) with imperfect technique. Find someone who takes his or her time to describe the science of the procedure for beautiful results designed to last the rest of your life. I also agree with the above surgeons who advocate for implants. They look great, feel great, and there is less variation in outcome. In my practice, fat grafting costs a little more than implant based augmentation. Please feel free to call us for a quote if you desire.

Fat grafting the breast for purposes of augmentation requires a substantial amount of fat, which needs to be harvested from other sites by means of liposuction. If you are not a good candidate for liposuction, then you are not a candidate for fat grafting the breasts. Cost of this surgery is always going to be more than breast implant augmentation, but is dependent on geography and surgeon characteristics: training, certification, skill, and experience. In general with all cosmetic plastic surgery, the cheaper the price, the higher the risk of complications and reoperation.

Dear Andrearose30,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Congratulations on your decision to have a fat transfer procedure to the breasts. Our patients are very pleased with this procedure, as they are able to both have 1) liposuction, and 2) a modest breast augmentation at the same time. I suggest that use the ASPS Find a Surgeon tool to locate surgeons in your area who offer this procedure, and then call them directly for a quote. It is essential that you have an in-person consultation to develop a treatment plan that specifically addresses your personal surgical goals, and your body’s anatomy. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!

I often use fat grafting to add volume to breasts, but almost always in addition to breast implants. Fat can be used to make breasts more even, or provide fullness where an implant cannot. However, fat alone will increased the breast size very minimally. I very frequently see women with very small breasts looking for a very conservative and totally natural increase in their breast size. Even in those cases, fat alone is not ideal. Having said that,

If you do elect to have fat grafting to the breasts, look at many many before and after images, and look at the results 6 and 12 months after the procedure.
