Circumferential Tummy Tuck After tummy tuck

I have had tummy tuck with muscles repair. The doctor advised not to have the circumferential one as he thought I would not need it. However, I think the result is not satisfying and I'd like to have the circumferential surgery. How long after the original surgerey can you have another one?

Another question-How's the recovery for such surgery since I do not need another tummy tuck?

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: tel aviv, TA - Israel

Everyone is different, but among my patients recovery from the back skin removal or lower body lift is usually shorter than a tummy tuck with muscle repair. Since these surgeries can be done at the same time as a tummy tuck, there is not any reason to wait between the surgeries.

You did not mention when the procedure was done, how it was done, if you had liposuction as well and what exactly the problem is now and what exactly you wish to improve. These are things that will determine when to have the next surgery. In general one would wait until all is well healed and that could take3 to 6 months. The back procedure will have to be incorporated with the front operation. I do not like the term "tummy tuck" I prefer the terms "abdominoplasty" and "circumferential body lift". I would expect the recovery to be similar to the abdominoplasty that you had. I do these procedures as an outpatient and I require my patients to walk inside their homes every 3 hours starting the night of surgery. I check them the next day in the office and we start anticoagulant therapy for 5 days. They usually return to work in two weeks but no heavy lifting or heavy exercises for 6 weeks. Some surgeons will do things differently and there is nothing wrong with that. Ask your surgeon.

I recommend waiting at least three months. Your body needs time to heal from the first surgery, and you would ideally be back to normal activity and have complete resolution of swelling. In some cases, this would require roughly six months.
