I looking to find few surgeons in my area for a consultation and determine which liposuction treatment will be best (i.e Smart Lipo, Vaser, tumescent). What is the consultation fee?

Consultation fees vary by region and practice. I am also in New Jersey Like you. My practice charges $100 for the consultation fee which can then be used towards the cost of the procedure or any other services we offer in the office.
With respect to your question regarding liposuction, it is absolutely best to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over all of your options. My preference for liposuction to get the best results are to do Vaser, Power assisted liposuction (PAL) and Renuvion / Jplasma for soft tissue contraction to get the best results.

The costs of consultation could be from nothing to who knows what according to the surgeon and location. You just have to call and see. The best method for liposuction is whatever your ABPS certified or eligible plastic surgeon finds the best in their hands.
