Vertical Wrinkles on mid stomach

I'm a very fit, slim woman with vertical lines on my mid stomach. Id like to have the skin pulles to my sides, which would make my stomach very smooth. Is this possible? I do not have lower stomach sagging.

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: St John's, NL - Canada

Vertical lines on the abdomen can occur after pregnancy or weight loss. Unfortunately, the skin doesn't have the elasticity to tighten up on its own. You can remove excess skin from the sides of your abdomen to smooth the central area. However, you will have scars on the sides, usually from the lateral chest wall to the hip. But for some people that's a reasonable tradeoff.

Hi Maries,

Thank you very much for your question. These vertical lines you are referring to may be stretch marks. There are operations to help this, however, when undergoing a surgical procedure, you will have a scar. Without pictures or examining you, it is impossible to tell exactly what procedure would help you achieve your goals. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon regarding the proper procedures needed. Best Wishes!

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Unfortunately without a full series of photos it is difficult to offer definite advice. For most patients with only mild skin excess a tummy tuck is still required as the scar is less noticeable than vertical ones along each flank. Hope this helps

Some pieces of information such as number of pregnancies, number of children and history of weight loss are missing. It does however seem as though nonsurgical options are likely to be your answer. Look into Fractora, Excelis and Ulthera. More & more nonsurgical tools are being developed for the very problem you are describing. Best Wishes!!

Yes,I just did a similar patient who had excess skin in the upper area and I pulled it underneath her breasts.
