Thank you for your question regarding pricing of your cosmetic procedure. Pricing for cosmetic surgery usually includes the surgeon fee, Operating room fee and anesthesia fee. In addition there may be other fees involved such as for surgical garments, cost of any implants, and medications such as Experel. Many facility and anesthesia fees are also Usually charged by the hour. How many hours your surgery will take depends on the complexity of your surgery and as well as the experience of your surgeon. Surgeon fees can also vary depending on the experience of your surgeon, reputation. All of these fees can vary by the facility as well as the region the surgery is being performed in. Remember that surgery MUST be performed in a safe manner. I personally limit cosmetic surgery to no more than 6 hours of operating time. Also please ensure that your surgeon is board certified by the American board of Plastic surgery. Best of luck with your surgery!

The price you were quoted I presume includes anesthesia and the operating room which would then be reasonable though my prices in either California or Miami are much better!

You could find an average rate for this type of procedure in your area by calling for a quote, or searching online sites that publish rates in your area. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable.
