Many ABMS/ ASPS members list a price ranges on line. Look in your local area for one of our members. What is actually more important than cost are the issues that need to be addressed with surgery and your overall health. Make sure you understand what may be required/ involved to correct your abdomen & breasts. The procedure can be rather expensive.

A Mommy Makeover is not a minor procedure. It is a major surgical procedure. Review with your surgeon what safety measures will be utilized to reduce your surgical risks. Cost should not be your primary concern?

Best,

Hi, Erica! A lot of women think about a Mommy Makeover after having their children. However, there is a lot of variability in how women look and the recommended procedures depend on how pregnancy has affected your body. Breasts may do well with a breast lift, but sometimes a breast implant may be all that's needed. Some women may need both a lift and an implant to get the size and shape they desire. The type of lift varies as well, depending on the amount of excess breast skin you have.

Abdomen surgery can vary from liposuction alone, to several varieties of abdominoplasty.

Prices will vary depending on where you live, and what you and your plastic surgeon agree are the best procedures for you. Sometimes the breast and abdomen surgeries can be done at the same time, but if your surgeon thinks that a longer procedure would be too risky for you, please heed his or her advice, as complications increase with longer surgeries.

Mommy Makeovers run from about $15,000 to $25,000.

Hello Erica,

Weight gained during pregnancy can be resolved through diet and exercise, but the stretched abdominal muscle and skin is most commonly corrected by an abdominoplasty or tummy tuck. Some women like the size and fullness of their breasts while breast feeding. Afterwards, however, they complain of sagging and loss of fullness. A breast augmentation with saline or silicone gel filled breast implants, breast lift, or a combination of the two can help you regain the shape, fullness and size of your breasts.

I would recommend that you begin by having a consultation with a board certified Plastic Surgeon to get more information on pricing and options. In general, breast augmentation is about $6,000 with saline implants. Silicone gel implants are also available. For a tummy tuck the fee costs about $5,000-$7,000. I hope this helps give you guidance in your decision making!

Hi Erica:

The fee for a mommy makeover will vary depending upon the type of procedures that are warranted to achieve your goals. Sometimes patients need more than just a breast lift, sometimes they also want more volume which may include placing an implant. In general, the fees for a tummy tuck and a breast lift will vary from surgeon to surgeon and in different regions of the country. In New York City, this fee may range from $15,000-$25,000.

Pricing for mommy makeover (which usually includes a breast lift) depends on the procedures included therein. Mommy makeover is a catch-all phrase that generally refers to postpartum aesthetic surgery of the body. In my hands, mommy makeovers have ranged from liposuction and implants to full tummy-tuck, breast augmentation, and breast lift. I see some ranges above that seem consistent, but remember, depending on your goals and needs, it may even cost less. Hope this helps! Dr Zelken

Dear Erica34,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. If you are looking for pricing in your area, I suggest that you perform an on-line search of plastic surgeons in your area, as many surgeons will list price ranges on their websites. Real Self also lists average prices for your area. It is essential that you have an in-person consultation to develop a treatment plan that specifically addresses your personal surgical goals, and your body’s anatomy. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!

Erica,

The fee for a mommy makeover can vary from doctor to doctor and involves several factors such as length of surgery, facility charges, and if implants are used. It is best for you to go for a consultation and then call other practices to compare and contrast the different fees. I hope that helps, good luck with your surgery!

The price of a Mommy Makeover can vary significantly. For me as a surgeon, the most important consideration in all surgery, including Mommy Makeover is safety. So in making decisions regarding all aspects of the endeavor, from the design of the surgery center to the surgical team to the anesthesia personnel to the actual plan for the surgery, I do for my patients what I would want to be done for my family member if they were the patient. We don’t cut corners because we’re not related to you. The most important factor is the surgeon and his/her training, experience and outcomes as demonstrated by ‘before and after photos’. But you must also carefully examine the practice – the support staff, the environment, the surgical facility, the overall attention to detail – for your experience as a patient is shaped not only by the surgeon but also by the people and environment that supports the surgeon.
