Fat transfert to breast + implants

Hello,I'm 2 months post-op from a breast augmentation with high-profile silicone implants. The upper outline of the implant is visible through my skin, giving an unnatural appearance. Should I wait for my implants to settle more or consider a fat transfer for a + natural result?

in the case of a fat transfer, can I get it done while keeping the implants and injecting only on the upper part?

Procedure: Breast Implant Revision
Location: Los angeles, LA

The visible outline of the upper breast implant is dependent upon the size of the implant ( the larger the implant the more visible), the type of implant (higher profile implants are more visible), and the quality and quantity of your native breast tissue and skin. After breast augmentation surgery there is constant changes in the skin and breast as these areas stretch to accommodate the implant. I recommend to my patients to wait 6 to 12 months before making a decision for secondary surgery to improve a visible implant. Often, the visibility will improve.

I hope this information is helpful.

The better option here is to wait for 6-12 months for the breasts to settle and the skin to stretch. If you are still not OK with the result you should consider a smaller implant with a lesser profile

Cannot answer you without knowing what you looked like before the surgery and what you look like now or what size implant you have. It is probably better to wait a little longer before you have anything else done. Fat transfers can be done for reconstruction in selected cases and the implants probably so not have to be removed. You should start by asking your own surgeon.

Hello patient! I agree with the other surgeons, the tissue after a breast augmentation will change/relax/settle over the first 6-12 months after surgery. You want to wait until after that time period and then reassess. If you are still bothered by noticeable areas of the implant, fat grafting is an option. However, it is important to remember that every patient is different. So, make sure to consult with your surgeon about your specific situation.
