I had a fall a month ago resulting in over 15 stitches below my lip and on my chin. What is the best treatment for a facial scar to help with discoloration and bumpiness? I read about silicone gel, is that the #1 recommendation and if so..which brand is most effective?
The best for scars is time.
Based on the pictures posted Best silicone is silicone gel sheeting. Used for at least 12 hours per day for 6 months. Brands do not matter. Bumps and lumps early are due to deep sutures. They will dissolve in 12 weeks. Presently your scars in the pictures posted look good.

This is not looking bad for one month out. One thing you can do is use a scar cream such as biocorneum , good SPF to protect from the sun and massage the scar daily
Also visit with a plastic surgeon as you may need steroid injections to improve the appearance and other therapies such as microneedling will also help.
Scars take about 1 year to really fade

This is pretty normal healing here. I use a steroid cream for all of my patients. Best to see someone so they can prescribe it for you. The off the counter stuff is not as effective
