I have some big breast, which results in a lot of sweat being produced. With the sweat come irritation, chafing, white and black heads, itching, and because of it sores. Would a breast reduction and or lift help with these problems?
Thank you for your question and doing your homework with ASPS member surgeons. Large breast size can impact your daily life in a number of ways. If you are considering a breast reduction, be sure to have an in-person consultation with a board-certified ASPS member surgeon in your area. Together, you and your surgeon can develop a safe treatment plan that is customized to your body, goals, and timeline. The design of a breast reduction includes a lifting component, so partnering with an experienced surgeon will help you decide which procedure is best suited to you. Best wishes in obtaining the result you desire.
Without seeing you in person, it is difficult to say which operation would be better. However if you have large breasts, a breast reduction usually includes a breast lift as part of the procedure.
It is possible that both a breast reduction and breast lift would be beneficial to you. A breast lift is part of a breast reduction so if you desire to be smaller AND lifted then a breast reduction is better. If you are happy with your size but just want your breasts lifted then a breast lift would be appropriate. The only way to know for sure is to be seen in person by a board-certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
Breast reduction is a procedure which includes the lifting effect as well. I recommend you to consult a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Unfortunately without an in-person examination, or full series of photographs it is difficult to offer advice. Both procedures may be an option but will depend on whether you would like to diminish your overall breast size. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. You appear to be describing symptoms of intertrigo, which can be a concern for women with both symptomatic macromastia (potential breast reduction candidate), and symptomatic mammoptosis (potential breast lift candidate). The breast reduction and breast lift procedures share several priorities and maneuvers. These procedures differ primarily in how your surgeon manages any excess breast tissue, if present. The decision can be difficult, and requires balancing your goals with issues surrounding safety, and predictability of achieving satisfactory, long-lasting results.
A formal evaluation by a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon should be an early step in deciding which operation would be appropriate for you. Use the ASPS site to find a qualified surgeon to help you on your journey.
Yes. The general answer to the question you pose is yes, breast reduction or breast lift will help these problems. If a breast reduction is done, the lift is always included. The breasts are less heavy, making activities more comfortable. Size can be made proportional for your frame and preferences. Breast lift alone is a more limited procedure that would lift but not reduce the size of heavy breasts. That procedure is less likely to help the symptoms you describe. Interview a board certified plastic surgeon for the best information.
