Would it be a smart decision to do a day long Disney trip 8 days after my reduction? I’m really worried about it
You have trusted your surgeon to perform a technically demanding operation. You should ask your operating surgeon and trust their advice. I hope this information is helpful.
If it is breast reduction what you are talking about, definitely not. One months for a long Disney trip. Wounds may open up and recovery is horrible compared to resting as indicated by your surgeon.
Why are you asking this here? This is a question for your surgeon. It is simple and reasonable to ask such questions. Surgeons differ on details of such things as return to work, physical activity, etc. This also depends on such things as what type of reduction was done. A large reduction including grafting of the nipple/areoal complexes will entail a longer, more cautious recovery approach. My vote would be no, especially since you are already concerned about this. Listen to that small voice.
It is probably not a good idea to do a Disney trip 8 days post op. I cannot speak for any other surgeon's post op care except for my own instructions. If you were my patient, I would want you to commit to not travelling for 4-6 weeks after a major surgery like a breast reduction.
