Are Silicone implants at 19 possible?!

Hi, I’m 19 and turn 20 in November. All my life since a little girl I’ve always wanted to get a breast augmentation since it’s my biggest insecurity, they are too small. I heard that 18 and over is for saline and silicone is for over the age of 22. Is there any way that I can get silicone while not being over 22? From the research I’ve dóne, everyone says that silicone is better. Please help!!!

There is nothing wrong with silicone implants under 22. They are not fda approved for patients under 22 so it makes it “off label” use of implants but there is nothing wrong with that. If you are undergoing an augmentation you should be able to choose which implant you want and from 18 to 22 shouldn’t make a difference.

If you find a plastic surgeon who is willing to place silicone implants “off label” in someone younger than 22, ask them to check if the manufacturer will warranty the. Implant if there is a problem. They may not want to get on the wrong side of the FDA.

No problem at all. I highly recommend Silicone implants for ALL ages over 18. I can schedule your surgery as early as next week. Saline implants usually leak. I never recommend saline Implants.

I agree with Dr. Tavin that it really is better to wait until the FDA-approved age of 22 for silicone implants. Alternatively, you can also use fat to augment but that all depends on how much extra fat you have to give up and how big you want to be. I recommend connecting with a surgeon to talk you through these options.
