Implant still feels how it did before.

I got revision surgery after two years because I was feeling some very uncomfortable (not painful) movements in my left breast. Dr. said all he found was minimal scar tissue but replaced it anyways. I am here two months post op still feeling the same movement. I’m so frustrated and upset and don’t know what to do!! Will speak with Dr next but appreciate advice here as well. Thank you.

Procedure: Breast Implant Revision
Location: Tehachapi, CA

Usually the sensation of a breast implant will subside with time. If your discomfort persists and this is not something you can tolerate, you may be a candidate for explantation followed by fat transfer to retain some added volume.

If it looks good and they can not find anything wrong on physical exam, then there is nothing that can be done about it. You could just have the implants removed but there is no guarantee whatsoever that you will get rid of the way you feel. To add fat grafts to your problem is something that I would avoid.

Need to know if the capsule was removed during revision.

Agree with Dr Chatterjee. The mind first goes to either capsular contracture (more common) and/or animation deformity (more movement related). The first would need what’s called “complete capsulectomy.” The latter might need what’s called a “site change,” and possibly other maneuvers. This could be a complex and nuanced problem that a skilled board certified surgeon should be able to help you at least gain insights to in consultation. Best wishes.
