I need financial help to reconstruct a botched tummy tuck

I had a tummy tuck about 20 years ago and it was botched... I have now been divorced for the past 4 years (not by choice) and I can't move on with my life. I don't like looking at myself in the mirror therefore I fear for my future. I tend to isolate myself from the world. I would like to have a chance at life again but the hideous scar that I was left with is holding me back.

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: Richmond, TX

You can be made a lot better with liposuction and revision of your abdomen. You are in the Houston area and there are many plastic surgeons there locally. You need to call for a consultation and see how they could help.

You may also consider a practice with a cosmetic fellowship, which may have reduced prices for surgery done by the fellow, who is already a fully trained plastic surgeon. ACPS is a practice in Houston with a cosmetic fellowship, and there may be others.

I agree with Dr Torabi, and these are common financing options. Dr Powers presents a great thought too, as long as you’re comfortable with the surgeon and their supervision. This is a complex issue, and the solution will also be an investment, but there are compassionate board certified surgeons that would relish the opportunity to help you. Hope you find a good solution.

I think the first step is to look at your surgical options. They liposuction to reduce the prominence of the flap-scar interface, reduction of the scar tissue footprint with serial excision, and reconstruction of your belly button. The appearance of your lower abdomen will improve with each of those but it is a timely procedure that may require multiple sessions.

Best,

Dr. Karamanoukian
