Nose has collapsed

Hi I’m a disabled veteran from the Air Force and also a single father of two amazing daughters 4 and 6 and recently my nose has collapsed I believe it’s from the nose spray that I’ve been using to breathe for the last 10 years.I had my nose broken in the military and they said they fixed it but it has always been problem and for the last 2 years I’ve been sick almost all the time.please help

It is well known that chronic, long-term use of nasal sprays can cause necrosis of the tissues- both mucous lining and cartilate- of the nose and this can lead to collapse of the nose. This is a very difficult problem to correct. your first step is to get off of the sprays, whatever it takes. Then, you should see a ENT (otolaryngologist) or plastic surgeon who are experienced in nasal reconstruction to evaluate you and offer a solution. Whether this has anything to do with you feeling sickth the past two years is uncertain. Good luck

It is not possible to give you any kind of an answer without a complete history and physical exam. You need to visit a local ABPS certified or eligible plastic surgeon for a consultation or go to the VA hospital and make an appointment with the plastic surgery or ENT clinic.
