I from Africa and I have big nose with bulbous tip. and the skin is very tick. I am planning to have the fat removed from the tip and the contour adjusted to feet my face. How much bulbous can be removed without distorting my ethnic nose?
It will require a structural rhinoplasty or a rhinoplasty or nose job that provides reduction in the tip but also in turn creates support for the tip. How much and how to maintain the ethnicity etc. will be determined by the need, the experience, the judgment, the artistic view of the surgeon and ofcourse deep discussion with the patient.
Managing expectations and having good discussions of the possibilities but also the limitations with your surgeon are important

Thick skin on the nose is a challenge for all rhinoplasty surgeons, because changes in the cartilage are less impactful than in patients with thinner skin.
Determining how much your tip can be refined really requires an in person discussion and figuring out in detail what your goals and desired look are.

here in mexico we have a lot of experience with mestizo nose and the negro nose
aand it will be cheaper than in the estates. i recomend you a visit or at least some
pictures to evaluate the posible result

Ethnic noses with thick skin require more work to be done to the underlying cartilage to have an outward effect, but safety precautions are key in keeping sufficient cartilage for structural support. I would recommend discussing your concerns with several ASPS board certified plastic surgeons.
