Does my revision chin implant look normal?

I had a chin implant 7 weeks ago but it shifted, causing discomfort. The removal process was painful, and after getting a new implant, my chin looked larger. The surgeon explained that my jawbone's prominence caused the issue. I'm worried the implant has made my chin appear longer. I'm considering removal but concerned about potential effects. Can you provide your opinion based on the photos?

Well, it looks that your Microgenia case, was for more than a chin implant, as projection is suboptimal. You may need to “cut and advance your own chin bone. Cephalometry will confirm this.

Chin Implant Placement is usually a one tep process. If the surgeon makes the implant "pocket" the exact size of the implant and makes it at the correct location, no revision is necessary. Currently, an MRI or CAT scan can tell you exactly where the implant is located. AS for the revision surgery, I personally consider having a revision less than 7 weeks after the original surgery is too soon. In any case you already had two surgeries and since the chin takes a very LONG time to un-swell, I suggest that you wait at least 3 months before you even consider any further surgeries, ideally 6 months for tinal results. Once again, if you are nervous and need some answers now, get the MRI or CAT scan. Give it time, swelling is significant since TWO surgeries were performed in a short time.
