Indented Lip/Vermilion Border Scar

Hi, I hope it's ok to post this here. My 1 year old sustained an injury 2 months ago to his lip (the laceration crosses the vermilion border) and it is still looking indented. How long would it take to fill in, and can I even expect it to fill in? I know 2 months isn't very long in the grand scheme but really hoping this won't remain indented.

Picture attached. Thanks in advance for any advice

cannot really see the full lip in this picture. 2 months is a very short time for a follow up. Please visit with a plastic surgeon for an evaluation

Tough to tell with such a close up. 2 months is very early especially because kids can grow out of this.
