2 years post surgery and I still jave prpblems

I had breast implant removal and an uplift over 2 years ago. I still jave fat necrosis on my left breast, this has reduced in size but is still quite big . it feels tender and painful and is affecting my mental health. I don't feel comfortable when being intimate with my husband

is the fact that I still have this necrosis normal? should I have it removed?

Hi there! Sorry to read the disappointment concerning your surgery! Fat necrosis is a very common situation in breast revision surgeries probably because of inflammatory reaction, cauterizing disperse energy and also infection and usually is reabsorbed. Nonetheless, my understanding is that too long had passed away. If still happening, i would advise a revision surgery with the aims of placing a temporary Vaccum drainage and as well , obtain site culture to discard possible infection. It “sounds” dramatic , but it’s a simple procedure using the same previous surgical approach and a final solution for this condition.
