Open T area

3 weeks out from my explant and lift/aerola resize procedure. The spot at the bottom of the T is still open a bit.. Went last week for follow up and he said it’s doing fine. They it was i believe he called it fat necrosis. The bandage fell off today and it is open and It is oozie and has a green spot. It also has an odor but i felt it was the steristrips. Infected? Procedure: Breast Lift

Scar Therapy for Breast Lift

The wound looks like it needs some attention. I would suggest washing the area with soap and water, removing any scab and exudate; followed by application of clean steristrips. Proper wound care is extremely important. As for the wound, it will likely heal well. Follow with application of Sequel Scar Defense Serum or something similar followed by laser therapy with vbeam laser.

Best,

Based on this picture it looks like you have some necrotic (non-viable) skin at the T junction. This would benefit from a debridement which is a procedure to cut away the dead skin to promote wound healing. You may also have some fat necrosis underneath this, but no possible to tell from this picture. Please continue to have close follow up with your surgeon for wound care. Risk factors for this are large amounts of skin that were removed with the lift, high BMI, any exposure to smoking and uncontrolled Diabetes. You can also increase your protein intake to promote wound healing if you do not have any health conditions that warrant a limited protein intake. Once this is fully healed, and the scar has matured you can be evaluated for scar therapies which can range from a chemical peel and microneedling to a full surgical revision.

Best wishes!

If there is no implant under there then it is not much to worry about. Your surgeon is the person that you should be following the advice.
