Mini tummy tuck vs. liposuction or both?

I am a 65-year-old grandmother in good health. I go to the gym and exercise 5 to 6 days a week. My 3 children were all born via C-section, leaving me with an "apron belly". No matter what I do it does not improve. My abdomen is also the area where I carry fat. I am not trying to look 25, but I am concerned about things like visceral fat and this belly situation. Which procedure is best? Or both?

Procedure: Liposuction
Location: ROCKINGHAM, VA

Please send photos from the front view, the left and right side views, the obliques and your height and weight.

It sounds like a tummy tuck and liposuction would be your best option given that you have an "apron" that does not improve with exercise.

Hello,

In order to make the necessary evaluations in more accurate way; we need to know about your front and side photos, your height/weight and in addition to these, whether you have shortness of breath; when you bend forward.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you for sharing your question! Liposculpture as an outpatient procedure under I.V. sedation can reduce the excess fat in this area. At my office, I use several innovative forms of liposuction to contour and resculpture the area while providing the most beautiful results with minimal scarring. If you have lax hanging skin you may benefit from an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), that removes excess hanging skin that often occurs after pregnancy and tightens the lax abdominal muscles. A combination of liposuction and abdominoplasty can help flatten your stomach and pull skin taught, eliminating the apron belly. I suggest making an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options in more detail!
