Stinging pain under breast when lift arm over head

I have 15 year old smooth round moderate profile saline implants placed above the muscle. I stretched my arms above my head this morning in bed and felt what felt like a rip or tear feeling under my breast. Now when I lift my arm above my head or bend over I feel a burning stinging pain under that breast. Any idea what could have happened?

Procedure: Breast Augmentation
Location: franklin, MA

Most likely you tore the capsule (scar around the implant). It should heal by itself in a couple of weeks. If you are concerned make an appointment to see a local plastic surgeon.

Hard to say what happened. Could have been some scar tissue that could have been stretched. I would go see a plastic surgeon for an evaluation. Best wishes

Probably a tear in the capsule if you had a capsular contracture. Most likely no big deal. Best to visit a local plastic surgeon of examination.

Without examining you no one here can say for sure. It is possible you had a moderate breast capsule and lifting your arm a certain way caused the capsule to tear. Certainly not a major problem however if your implants are 15 years old you probably should go to see a local plastic surgeon. He or she may want to get an MRI to evaluate the implants. Good luck

Hello; it is difficult to reply for this; without examination. Since you have a breast implant, there may be pain; due to the capsule. However, the best thing to do is; to go to a Doctor's examination. If necessary, an Ultrasound or MRI examination should be requested and evaluated as well.
