From this picture the wound looks clean without any signs of infection. I would continue to visit your plastic surgeon for close follow and follow his or her wound care recommendations. It is unclear from this picture if there is any implant under here. If there is, I would also be very vigilant for exposure of the implant.

Some things you can do to help your wound healing

- avoid any type of nicotine exposure including second hand smoke.

- increase your protein in take

- If you are a diabetic make sure your diabetes is controlled.

- Do not submerge in a body of water like a swimming pool or ocean

- Keep all animal dander away from this area

Best wishes

Does not appear to be any implant exposure or infection and that is good. Sometimes these wounds keep getting bigger and bigger before they start to contract and close but it should heal. It may take quite some time. The use of a negative pressure dressing such as a "Pico" will make this close very fast before it spreads. The machine is a little expensive and it may cost $300 or so per week. I think it will close or become much more manageable after just two weeks and then you could go back to dressing changes for a little longer. You can continue with just dressing changes but will take a lot longer. The surgeon does not have to pay for this treatment but sometimes they can help you with this, Discuss with the surgeon. I know this is very frustrating to you and it is very frustrating to your surgeon as well. Look in the interned about negative pressure dressings and "Pico" and discuss with your surgeon. They may want to continue with dressings and is ok but this what I would do.

The wounds will heal but the major concern is implant exposure. I would make sure you see your plastic surgeon when you have your wound checked.

Hello; unfortunately, there is a detachment that; will not heal without surgery or will take a long time to heal. The only good thing is that; there is no infection. I recommend for that; you see your Doctor; who performed the surgery or if you cannot reach him/her, visit for the nearest Plastic Surgery Specialist.
