Belly button

Hi! I had a tummy tuck about 18 months ago and my belly button is too large after the procedure. Is there a way to make my belly button smaller at this time?

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: Washington D.C, DC

Thank you for your excellent question. After 18 months your tissues should be fully healed and ready for a revision. Your belly button can be reduced but be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon.

Tummy tuck belly buttons can leave a lot to be desired and I prefer removing them and reconstructing one as the outcome is usually a lot better than a scar around a belly button as is what will happen with transposed belly buttons. You must see a surgeon to get options on what is best for to achieve your goals. Good luck!

Hello!

It is possible to re-size the belly button. You have had plenty of time to heal, and the interesting thing is that belly-buttons generally shrink during the healing process after a tummy tuck, which apparently did not happen in your case. Have a great day!
