My daughter had a breast reduction in out of 2018 she has been having a lot of issues and had to move to Tennessee while husband is on deployment. The Dr today told her that her skin is dying under the right breast how do we find another surgeon who will help treat this the Dr she had did not take care of her.
Skin dying now should not be related to surgery she had last year. Google plastic surgeons in your area and call to find one who will see her. If none available, go to a general surgeon.
Sorry for you daughters outcome. Consider giving your TRICARE representative in your area a call. They should direct you to a plastic surgeon that can assist with your issues. Next, contact the surgeons office that did your duaghters surgery. Ask for the pre-operative pictures & operative reports. A signed release of information form will be required. Take these materials with y'all when you do for a second option. Best,
Gary R Culbertson, MD, FACS
Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your difficulties. I would advise your daughter to find a local Tricare or equivalent plastic surgeon in Tennessee who can help provide recovery care as she continues her healing process. Hope this helps.
I would be happy to take care of her but my offices are quite far. I would contact the closest university hospital and their plastic surgery department.
