Booty

Hello, I've been wondering and looking around to see if this problem I'm having can be fixed with surgery or weight loss and exercise. I've had 3 children I am 25 y/o and have gained and lost weight. I've recently noticed that my butt is noticeably uneven my right is larger than my left, it looks like I have more fat stored in the right cheek, would I need surgery to correct this?

Procedure: Mommy Makeover
Location: Odessa, TX

You would greatly benefit from an evaluation by a plastic surgeon. We can enlarge or reduce the size of most parts of the body. Your complaint of asymmetric buttocks is fairly unusual in my experience. It may be just how your body is made, or it could be a fatty mass called a lipoma. Only on exam and workup will the answer become clear. Best wishes!

Thanks for the question, and this is definitely common. The right and left sides of our body are almost never perfectly even, but sometimes one side is notably bigger/smaller than the other side. After consulting with a plastic surgeon, together you could come up with a plan to make them more symmetric. Options may be liposuction to the larger side, adding fat to the smaller side, or a combination of both. Depending on how big a difference / how much work needs to be done, this may be under local anesthesia (awake) or general anesthesia (asleep)

It is difficult to say without at least seeing photos but it sounds like you could haver fat transferred to the side that is smaller or fat removed from bigger side.

Well, it will take an in-person evaluation to really answer your question. However the solution will likely entail a combination of Liposuction and fat transfer to improve symmetry. Best of luck
