I guess it depends what you want. If you are talking about surgery then make sure you find a board certified plastic surgeon

This is a excellent question. It depends on your concept of options. Most experienced surgeons will discuss choices of treatment. Typically they will make specific recommendations based on their assesment of the patients physical exam and and the patients stated desires. Options will also be driven by what investment the patient wants to make. This an investment of time, effort, energy and finances. Decisions for any type of procedure requires open communication between the patient and the physicians office staff and physician. Starting with an experienced surgeon is essential. ASPS member surgeons have opportunities to be on the front edge of surgical treatment and options. Their offices would be a good place to start.

Thank you for your question. Most surgeons offer multiple treatment options for the same patient related issue. I would see a series of providers in your area to get the best options.

Yes. Most of us do this. Sometimes there is one stand-out best option. We are board certified plastic surgeons and we can discuss multiple ways of handling a problem.

Thank you for your question and doing your homework with ASPS member surgeons. The first place to start is with a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. You can partner with your surgeon to develop a safe and customized treatment plan that is best suited to your individual features, cosmetic goals, budget, and recovery timeline. Certain body contouring procedures can be combined while others are best done spaced apart by 4-6 months to allow some recovery time between surgical procedures. Patient safety always comes first!

You should ALWAYS be informed of the options you have, whether the surgeon you see actually can do it or not. That is the informed consent process and should be all inclusive of everything that may be considered in helping you achieve your goals. Anything short of this is not truly living up to the standards of being board certified. Getting a second opinion is always beneficial as well and a well worth it investment.

Our group is based in central Ohio and specializes in plastic surgery procedures of the breast and body, including body contouring. With multiple surgeons in our group, we frequently work together as a team to offer larger body contouring operations that address multiple body parts at a single operation. With so many surgical and nonsurgical options out there, it is important to be sure that you find the operation or intervention that addresses your particular problem best.
