I want to know how much will brachioplasty will cost and how long is the down time
Costs will vary tremendously based on location, type of anesthesia employed, surgical facility, and procedures to be performed. I would recommend seeing a series of providers in the WI region to get the best estimate. Most patients who have both arms done can return to work 1-2 weeks after surgery. Hope this helps.
I am located in Waukesha. In my office this would be just under $7000. This includes the surgeon's fee, hospital, and anesthesia. There are several different types of brachioplasty. I would have to examine you to determine which would be best for you. You can call Suzanne and Teresa in the office at 262-523-1200 to set up an appointment. Cosmetic consults are $100, but this will apply toward your surgery.
Thanks for your question and doing your homework with ASPS member surgeons. Brachioplasty is a wonderful body contouring procedure and the costs will vary considerably by geographic area. In general, total cost including anesthesia, surgeon's fees, and facility costs will run between $7000 - $10,000 depending on the complexity of the procedure. Recovery is fairly predictable and most patients return to work by two weeks and may take a bit longer to return to more vigorous exercise or athletic activities.
A brachiopasty costs are about 5-9000 and the downtime is about 1-2 weeks though healing does take longer than that.
