Breast reduction

I think my breast implants causing my

blood pressure to go up. I got my boobs done in 2009 and 7 years later I only gained like 10 lbs and now my blood pressure is elevated. Im currently on bp meds. I did have size C cups prior and went back and got a double d. I’m only 125 and no none in my family takes bo meds. Should I get them out or is it the size for my small frame? Is this a factor?

High blood pressure is commonly associated with older age, arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), lack of exercise, and obesity. Since you are a normal weight, your hypertension could be due to these other factors. Genetics plays a big role too. If your parents have high blood pressure, you would be more at risk to develop it too. I have never heard of breast implants causing high BP. But DD breast could give you back, neck, and shoulder pain due to their heaviness. DD patients often request breast reduction for these symptoms. See your doctor to discuss your health and lifestyle to see if there are modifications you might be able to make to get your pressure down and get off the meds. Good luck!

very interesting case, i think you feel like you ruled out all the reasons for high blood pressure and are considering that maybe the implant (the only thing out of the normal in you) are the reason. in a way your thinking its logic, but please understand that the human body its everything but logic. if we took the time to research your medical story i feel confident that we wound find at least 5 possible reasons for your high blood pressure. breast implants have never being related to high blood plessure however i promised you i will reseach about it.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Most likely factors other than your implants are at play for your high blood pressure as you would have developed it immediately after your breast augmentation rather than 7 years later. Most patients with high blood pressure develop it idiopathically - for no specific reason, largely their genetic makeup. Hope this helps.
