I had liposuction on my love handles one year ago. I gained 8 pounds and now the fat is back. Is this supposed to happen?
If your weight is stable, then your waist should not be picking up fat. However when you gain 8 pounds or more fat will distribute in multiple areas including your love handles. It is difficult to predict how fast will redistribute with weight gain
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Although the fat removed during liposuction is a permanent loss, those fat cells that are left behind with grow and shrink based on a patient's weight gain/loss. Hope this helps.
After liposuction you are advised to keep your weight stable.In case of weight gain ,the area which has been liposuctioned should gain minimal weight and other areas would gain more weight comparitvily.
