Hello about a week ago I had a reduction I had asked the surgeon to aim for a B cup knowing that it was possible I might be a A or a C. But right now I’m a D/DD which is larger than I wanted. My breasts are also not round at the bottom they flatten out due to the sutures. Is it possible my breasts will even out and become smaller or am I stuck with this larger size and odd shape?
Hello Episkey
After a Reduccion mamoplasty breast will get large swelling that will reduce in next weeks after the procedure and the final
Size will be got at 3-6 moths, the shape will also change with time. So take it easy and wait to final result patiently. After that consider and additional treatment if it is required.
Not to worry episkey!
It is very common to have an odd breast shape and larger than expected size at 1 week. You will very likely see the bottom round out and the volume decrease over the next several MONTHS. I preach patience to my patients...we do not have a magic wand...unfortunately. Hang in there...things will change soon.
Thank you for sharing your question. For most patients the initial swelling of surgery will cause their breasts to appear larger than the final result will be. For that reason I would ask your patience to allow time for your breast reduction results to mature. After 3-6 months you should have a better idea as to your long-term size and shape, so hang in there!
