Lip/Fat Transfer and healthy BMI

I have been underweight most of my life - in part because I'm naturally very slim. But in part, also, because I have a funny shaped body (a ruler body type. This means I always have a bit of a belly even if I'm underweight; I always have small breasts/ass/hips, and long skinny limbs). Liposuction also works well for the thin person. A small person has a very small waist. In the liposuction will release that tiny waist. A tiny waist is the key to a good figure. A larger person needs to have more volume removed in order to make a visible change. A small person needs less volume removed make a visible change. Liposuction and BBL work well in the thin patient also, maybe even better.

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Ideally, liposuction is used on patients who are at, or near their goal weight, in order to remove stubborn fat deposits or "sculpt" the figure. It is not intended for use as a weight loss tool, or for overweight patients who simply need to lose weight in general. Provided that you are not "underweight" and in need of weight gain, you very well could be a candidate for lipo. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. Good luck!
