Disfigured by another

I was suppose to have a mid facelift, never happen he tried to perform it by lifting under the eyes. This caused open sores under eyes, drooping eyelids, one eye stitched together making it smaller then the other one, pain shooting through face and eyes running and uncomfortable. Have to wear sunglasses all the time. Embarrassed and shameful that he messed me up. I need help really bad. Thank you

If you are as you describe and you cannot resolve your issues with your surgeon, its time to get a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon in your locale to see if you are as bad as you describe and to find out what options you may have for trying to correct your concerns. If your surgeon is not a qualified surgeon, you can also find that out from your second opinion.

Clayja,

Wow, this does not sound good. Consider obtaining all your records from your original surgeon that you can get. Focus in on all history & physicals, operative reports and photographs. Then, consider another surgeon in your area that specializes in Occuloplastic surgery. Take these materials to your second option consult(s). Unfortunately, with all the issues you present more than one corrective surgical procedure could be required. Best,

Gary R Culbertson, MD, FACS

Hi. Sorry to know about your case. One thing is a Third Inferior Facelift and Neck Lift, and another, very different, is a Blepharoplasty. Without at least pictures is impossible to evaluate your condition and recommend a surgical plan for correction.
