Is this true?

I want a mini facelift and the doctor said I have to get it done at the surgical facility because thge have better sutures and he'd be able to tighten it better.

I scheduled it and on the paperwork the wrote "bilateral prearicular face tightening I asked why and was told that way the facility won't charge as much as they would than if they wrote "mini facelift." Should I believe this?

Procedure: Facelift

A mini facelift can be performed in my office based surgery center with good sutures.. I don;t know why a surgi-center would have "better" sutures. I'm not sure about the second part of the question.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Most surgical centers will be able to obtain any suture a surgeon desires for their procedure, assuming enough lead time. As for the facility charges this is something that would need to be addressed with them directly.

Plumplum,

Sounds as if you are looking for the most economic approach to have a mini facelift? Bang for your buck is what web all desire. Sutures vary widely in price with some costing as much as 3 to 4 times others. Consider keeping in mind that in some patients mini facelifts can have very limited duration of effect (i.e a few years??) compared to other facelift or facial rejuvenation procedures/ techniques.

If you have doubts about whether or not your surgeon is truthful, this may not be the best match for you.
