It it very difficult to say whether or not your skin will be looser or become loose without seeing you in person. Many factors go in to determine this. Best of luck.

The answer to your question is based upon the amount of excess skin and fat, your skin’s elasticity, and your desired results.

Each operation has its own trade offs. Liposuction is a less Invasive procedure with only tiny incisions; however, a tummy tuck is a much more extensive operation with increased recuperation but yields a flatter stomach.

The recommended surgical plan can be best decided with a face to face consultation and physical examination.

No tummy tucks please. Just say NO. Unless you have pronounced dropping of skin from dieting or bariatric surgery, a 360 Lipo will give you the best cosmetic result. You will flatten the abdomen, spare tire, flanks, love handles, lower back, wings and bra rolls. You can even go further and transfer the fat to hips and buttocks that will make you “sizzle” on the beach. All this worry about “hanging skin” after lipo uncommonly happens as the skin retracts and electron microscopy has shown this. My before and after pictures of over 5,000 BBLs prove it. Get a tummy tuck and you get a terrible 2 foot long scar, dog ears and nothing is done to other areas. Surgeons who do a BBL and tummy tuck at same time almost never do either one well. I am opening up now as no one is listening and thousands of women are having unnecessary tummy tucks by seemingly misogynist surgeons.

This is a great question. Many of us have particular spots that we'd call "problem areas". In the tummy there are lots of options, ranging from CoolSculpt, to liposuction, to tummy tucks and others. Some people may be good candidates for one or even a combination of these procedures. The best choice for each person should be based on a detailed discussion of goals and expectations and exam of your particular body. Best wishes, and happy to see you in my office if I can help!

Thank you for sharing your question. Unfortunately without being able to see images it is difficult to say for certain. I would see a series of surgeons for in-person evaluations to get the best advice.

The simple answer is: if your skin tone is good, then liposuction may be best procedure for you. If skin is loose, particularly if there is overlap above the pubic area, then tummy tuck should be done, and often combined with liposuction. These can give you the best body coutouring.

You are right to consider a board certified plastic surgeon for this assessment and for procedures. Ideal weight does not have to be achieved for success, but your shouldn't have these procedures before undergoing major weight loss. Plan them afterward.

Hi. Tummy Tuck is needed when two factors are present in the abdominal area :

1. Separation of the abdominal muscles (Diastasis Recti), and

2. Excessive Skin

If you have this 2 conditions Lipo is not an option, because it will worsen your problem by leaving you with a look of deflated balloon, skin will remain excessive and muscles will remain separated.

Normally any excess skin would not be helped with lipo just fatty deposits. But you could try lipo first and see. That is one of my specialties.
