Nose tip

I've always been interested in getting the cartilage bump on the tip of my nose reduced. Most of it is cartilage, and it is on the top Front outside portion of my nose, so we are not talking about anything to do with the nasal passages, or anything that would restrict my ability to breathe. I just want a slender natural looking nose. Is this possible and how much does it usually cost?

Procedure: Rhinoplasty
Location: Garland, TX

It’s called a tip rhinoplasty. You’re in luck.....there are a lot of excellent plastic surgeons in Texas who can help you out. You should invest in a few consultations to make sure that your chosen plastic surgeon understands what you want to change. Then you can inquire about costs. Best wishes.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Nasal tip refinement can be done and I would seek out a series of consultations to get the best idea of costs.

Yes, we have some patients who only want to focus on one part of the nose, whether it be the bridge bump, wide nostrils, or the tip. If you only need to focus on the tip, this can be done, but it is important that your more narrow tip also fits with the rest of the nasal proportions and the rest of your face. I do almost all of my rhinoplasty without external scars, using the closed rhinoplasty approaches, to reduce swelling and scar tissue. Cost varies based on location so you should call a few plastic surgery offices to determine a range.

It sounds as if you want a cosmetic rhinoplasty. Obtain several consultations from board certified plastic surgeons to get their opinion about what they would do and what it would cost.
