I just had a tummy tuck and lipo of my auxiliary, flanks, back, hips, and mons pubis. My surgeon just told me to go buy a Spanx. But the two docs I consulted with before choosing him had a specific garment to order. I want to make sure every area I’m swollen is compressed. I’m 17 days post-op and have 20 lbs of swelling still and my drains. What can I buy I don’t care how expensive it is. Thanks!
You need to call your surgeon and discuss this ASAP. You had a lot of surgery. If you are saying that you still have your drains in place 17 days post-op and your are 20 pounds above your preoperative weight, perhaps just a change in garment is not enough. Furthermore it's Sunday night and there are no options for purchasing post-operative garments until Monday morning. Please realize that the Ask A Surgeon website provides general information about plastic surgery and cannot be used to advise you on your post-op care. You have to ask YOUR Plastic Surgeon, or if that for any reason is not possible, another plastic surgeon in person.
