Buccal fat removal

Hello! I am 22 years old, 5’11” and have a strong, athletic build with a weight of 158 lbs. I am interested in a buccal fat removal. I recently lost 20 pounds, but my face and cheeks remain chubby. I would like to have the fat taken out of my chubby cheeks. Both my parents are lean with chubby cheeks and both are near age 50 so I don’t see this going away. How do I know if I could be a candidate?

Procedure: Liposuction
Location: durham, NC

The risk of fat removal to excess is collapse of your cheeks. Diffcult to imposible to say if you would benefit from fat removal, or if this would be inadvisble, without examining you in person so that the excess fullness you describe could be seen and palpated. The best way to find out if this is appropriate for you is to schedule a consultation with an ASPS Member board certified plastic surgeon. You can go to the Find A Plastic Surgeon Near Me section of this website to find a plastic surgeon in your locale. Best wishes.

Sounds as if you are a candidate but nothing replaces an in-person examination. Make a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

This could be done but also liposuction of the cheeks. I do this through the nose and do not have patient wear any dressings after but there is swelling for quite some time. It looks like you had your molars pulled.
