I would see a series of ASPS surgeons in your area for in-person evaluations of your tissues and to have a discussion of your goals. At times implants can be removed in an office setting. I am sorry to hear of your situation. Surgeries to remove implants are considered cosmetic. Please also be aware that after removal of implants your breasts will be significantly flatter than they are now. My experience is many patients request a secondary procedure such as a breast left for cosmetic improvement . As far as financial assistance, you may be able to go to a chief resident cosmetic surgery clinic at a plastic surgery residency program to have a lower cost of surgery. I would also strongly advise you from going outside the country as the standards for surgery are not the same as the United States.

In most cases, implants can be removed in the office with local anesthetic for minimal cost. Ask your plastic surgeon if that is an option. For my patients this is a fast procedure with minimal recovery.
