I have some excess upper eyelid skin that bothers me but I don't feel like it warrants surgery yet. I've heard that ulthera or thermage can tighten the skin, however my excess skin isn't due to age (i'm 20) and I was wondering if this is an option for me? thanks!
Thanks for your question! Without examining you, it is impossible to say what procedures are needed to reach your goals. In general, surgical procedures will give a better result. Non surgical modalities such as ulthera only provide subtle improvement and may need to do it multiple time to get results close to surgery. This can end up being more expensive than surgery
Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine which procedures are best to achieve your goals.
Best wishes!
Without seeing you it is hard to know what would be the best procedure for you. Ultherapy can be used off label to treat the upper eye. It really depends on how much excess skin you have to determine the best option for you. I would suggest finding a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive doctor to help you come up with the best solution for you.
Probably best to obtain a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. They can examine you, then discuss both non surgical and surgical options to help you, as appropriate.
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Unfortunately without being able to see your photographs it is difficult to offer definite advice and I would make a series of consultations with board certified plastic surgeons to discuss.
At 20 years old, it is unlikely that you are ready for surgical or non-surgical intervention of the upper eyelid. Take a look at fashion models. Fullness in the upper eyelid is present. It is a sign of youth and beauty.
