Brest augmentation

Hello getting a Rhinoplasty under general anesthesia so was wondering if a breast augmentation could be done right after that? Or does it have to be 2 separate procedures

Procedure: Rhinoplasty
Location: victoria, TX

Yes it can be done in the same surgery.

Hi, you can definitely do a breast augmentation at the same time as having a rhinoplasty. When combining these two surgeries I do the breast augmentation first and then the rhinoplasty. The breast augmentation is sterile and most nose work is not, so I put the breast implants in and make sure they are healthy and happy before re-prepping and doing the rhinoplasty. Good luck.

Great question, and as long as the person doing the rhinoplasty is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, there should be no issues doing both procedures at the same time.

It is possible to combine the procedures, but I would advise doing them separately. Rhinoplasty first, then breast augmentation at a different date. The reason for this is rhinoplasty is a non-sterile procedure that disrupts mucous membranes covered with bacteria. During the rhinoplasty, the cuts shower the blood stream with bacteria, and if these bacteria come into contact with the implants, an infection can result. Best wishes!

I quite commonly combine procedures. Thee is one recovery and is costs less for patient.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Most likely the two procedures can be combined into a single operation. Hope this helps.

Hello, combined cases such as rhinoplasty and breast augmentation are commonly performed together. This allows you less time under anesthesia and one recovery for both procedures! - Dr. Leong

Yes, these procedures can be done at the same operative setting to allow for one surgery, one anesthesia and one recovery.
