You are not too old to get implants. Best of luck

Age is just a number. As long as you are healthy, have a good understanding of the risks and benefits of breast implants, and can make an informed decision you would be a fine candidate for breast augmentation. You would want to be up-to-date on your mammogram. If you have any health issues, you might want to discuss your suitability for elective surgery with your primary care. Use the Find-a-Surgeon tool to locate a board-certified plastic surgeon near you and make a consultation appointment.

Absolutely not though there is a greater possibility that you will need a lift at the same time. Your surgeon should be able to discuss all the options available to you after a face to face examination.

No, as long as you are in good health.

Thanks for your question! Age is only one aspect to determine if you are a candidate for breast implant surgery. Your overall health matters too. I have patients that are in their 70’s that are healthier than some of my patients in their 50’s. Your first step is to meet with a plastic surgeon to see what procedures you would need to achieve your goals. Then also need to consult with your primary care physician to make sure you are healthy enough for surgery and are optimized for surgery

Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine which procedures are best to achieve your goals.

Best wishes!

It really depends on your general health. I have done breast surgery with placement and removal and replacement on patients as old as their mid-70s and they did just fine. It really comes down to patient selection and how healthy the patient is.

What I would recommend would need to go see a board-certified plastic surgeon that has expertise in that area breast surgery and that way you can discuss all your options.

Hope that helps

Not at all. You are still young. It really depends on your state of health and your own personal goals, which an ABPS certified plastic surgeon can discuss in detail with you. I hope all goes well for you.

As long as you are in good health there is no reason why you could not have a breast enlargement at your age.

Assuming you are otherwise a good candidate for surgery, 56 is certainly young enough to have implants placed. Best wishes!

You may be way too young for surgery.

Age is relative, as long as you are healthy and understand the risks/benefits of implants. I have done implants on a 70 year old woman and an 80 year old woman with a lift.
