What’s wrong with my face

The one side of my face looks completely different from the other. Like one side is way higher than the other side. Eyes are not the same size and are not leveled. I hate it and it bothers me all the time. I can’t stand to look in the mirror

It is not possible in this format to answer your questions. Although photos may help, you need a face to face evaluation with a member of this society. It is rare to find anyone with a perfectly even face. With the facial work that I do I point out these asymmetries to the patient while they are looking in a mirror. Most have never noticed the differences. if someone takes a mirror image of the right side and left side of the face and compares it to a straight on photo you will see the images of 3 different people. If your differences are outside the norm, there may be options to improve your problem. You can find the name of a surgeon in your area on this website.

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry that the asymmetry you see has caused you distress. Without photographs or an in-person examination it is difficult to offer you advice but my best recommendation would be to see a series of ASPS board certified plastic surgeons in consultation to see what you could be done. Best wishes.

Hello!

i would recommend you arrange a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. There are nonsurgical options like fillers to help build up the face and there are surgical procedures as well. Everyone has mismatched face from side to side to varying degrees.

Best of luck!

Not being able to stand looking at yourself in the mirror indicates a level of self dislike that troubles me. It may reflect a self-worth issue that is more complex than simple cosmetic surgery. I agree with the other surgeons that you should see a compassionate plastic surgeon can you trust and who can advise you.

I would recommend seeing a surgeon from a craniofacial institute. Although your description is not very exact, you may have a syndrome that can lead to severe asymmetry beyond the normal that everyone has. These types of issues are best handled by craniofacial surgeons. It wouldn't hurt to get their opinion on the matter. Like the other surgeons have mentioned, asymmetry is normal, but without photos or an exam it is hard to know where you stand in this spectrum.
