Fatty shins and calves

Hello, I was wondering how I could potentially decrease the size of my calves. My weight has fluctuated the last few years but even at my lowest weight, my calves are still fatty and my shins have pockets of fat in different areas. My research online shows it may be hereditary and this may be true since my mom has the same legs. What kind of plastic surgeon should I bee seeking?

Procedure: Body Contouring
Location: Montclair, NJ

Calf liposuction may be an option and can be done awake in many cases in about 1 to 2 hours.

calf liposuction is a straightforward delicate procedure. I use the Whisperator, a very quiet machine with fine cannulas to remove the fatty tissue carefully. See a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon in consultation. Good luck.

Liposuction is an acceptable technique to reduce calf size in appropriate patients. It is associated with a higher risk of prolonged swelling and contour irregularities compared to other parts of the body. However these issues can be kept to a minimum with proper surgical technique and post operative care. Seek a practitioner with liposuction expertise. Best of Luck Dr Harrell
