Tattoo excision

Looking for a doctor to perform tattoo excison on my shoulder. I can’t seem to find any. Looking in the PA/NJ/NYC/DE area if any doctors on here do them? The website doesn’t have tattoo excison just removal and laser comes up which i have tried and was unsuccessful. Thanks in advance.

Procedure: Tattoo Removal
Location: philadelphia, PA

Depending on the size of the tattoo, and elasticity of the skin this should be a straightforward procedure that any plastic surgeon can perform for you even if not listed on their website. Schedule a consultation to discuss

Tatoo excision has been replaced by laser treatments to a large extent. Excision is something that is still done depending on the size and location of the tattoo as well as the elasticity of the surrounding skin.

Some routine “old fashioned” way of removing tattoos any plastic surgeon can do: 1) excision of involved skin and closure, 2) partial excision of involved skin (if pigment is all superficial), apply “pigskin” (not expensive, found in all burn units) and allow wound to heal (no dressing changes necessary), 3) partial excision of skin and if pigment is still very deep, apply “rock salt” to wound and “leach out” the pigment-requires multiple dressings and patience. May all dermabrade skin then apply rock salt. Simple solutions obviating need to find someone with Q-switch laser. Good Luck!

I routinely excise small tattoos. It's less expensive than laser, and is usually accomplished in one treatment.
