Can large uneven breasts cause scoliosis?

One of my breasts are a DD, while the other is DDD; and genetically in my family our breasts tend to be pretty heavy and dense compared to average.

When I went to the chiropractor when I was 14 (as a C cup), there was no signage of a curved spine. But now going in at 19, my spine was curved outwards (opposite from the heavier breast) and twisted inwards as well as a disc being shifted forward.

Procedure: Breast Reduction

I would consult with an orthopedic surgeon to address the scoliosis. They will be able to help you with your spinal situation. I do not believe the two issues are related and would suggest seeking their expertise. I wish you the very best.

It is not uncommon for patients with scoliosis to have a more pronounced breast asymmetry. than average patients. Scoliosis however is not caused by large breasts. It is not beyond reason to think that the larger breast can affect the curvature more. The bottom line is that if you have symptoms from large breasts and want to be considered for a breast reduction, you should consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. I do not feel that your breasts have caused your scoliosis but some asymmetry in them could be attributed to scoliosis. Seek out a specialist to correct the curvature and then a plastic surgeon to improve upon any further breast differences. Hope this helps.

Hello dear. Heavy breast it's a commom cause for back pain. For the scoliosis i would go to an orthopedic surgeon, and for the breast i recommend you to go with a certified plastic surgeon. Breast reduction seems to be the best option in your case.

Frankly, your developing scoliosis caused your breast asymmetry. Do you have back pain? Go see an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine. Your scoliosis may get worse as you age. Then decide if a breast reduction will help your back issues, and help you stand as straight as you can. See a great surgeon in Michigan- there are many.

No. Uneven or big breast are not a cause of scoliosis, it can give you back pain.
