Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Each surgeon will have different ways of billing for liposuction +/- fat transfer. Typically there would be an additional cost for the transfer as it involves additional work on the part of the surgeon, as well as additional time in the operating room. Hope this helps.

Hello dear. Each surgeon has different billing ways. If you want more specific information i recommend you to have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Every surgeon has their own policy. I do courtesy fat grafting when liposuction is done BUT patients pay for the extra time needed in the OR (including anesthesia) and for the PureGraft system that I use to collect and process the fat. The toughest thing about fat grafting is the need to minimally move the areas grafted or to place any external pressure on it for the first 3 weeks from surgery.

Probably. Fat Grafting takes more time and typically will add cost to the procedure. Doctors may separate the procedures or combine them for billing purposes. Best of Luck Dr Harrell
